Congratulations to our 2017 Grand Final teams – four to date – and hopefully two more this weekend.

Sharks reserves were first to make it through on Saturday, when they downed the Willagee Bears 24-14.

Tries from Logan Barclay (2), Tewhakapono Tuhua, Jayden Toelupe and Josh Matthews and kicks from Josh Jerome saw the Sharks home in a game that saw two Bears players sinbinned.

The Sharks survived an early Willagee onslaught, regrouped and came back strong, the better side from the 30 minute mark.

Solid defence also played a key and when Josh Matthews scored with 2o to go the game was in the bag.

Well done Tito and the boys, we look forward to seeing you in the final.

On Sunday three junior comp sides were planning to join them – and all three did so – with great wins in their prelim final games.

First up were the under-11s, and they beat North Beach 34-16 to make it through.

Next up were the 13s, who had losrt their major semi last week to Joondalup.

Different team this week, as they came our firing, and were very worthy winners over Ellenbrook, 40-8.

Finally, the icing on the cake – our under-16s – who had to battle all the way before getting the all-important score in golden point extra time to beat the Bulldogs 30-26.

Big effort from all the sides, well done to everyone – we look forward to seeing you all in the Grand finals.
