What a great weekend of rugby league for all our teams.
Lots of points scored, wins, draws and losses – but everyone loving the game.
Our White Pointers under-6 team consists of 12 energetic boys and one girl (Daisy) who try their hardest every week whether its at training or on game day.
Nine of our players are new to the Rockingham Sharks, with three players playing their second year.
In their first game they played Fremantle White, who got off to a quick start with back to back tries before Habana stemmed the flow with a length of the field try off the tap restart.
Then off a quick play the ball from our youngest player Koby, Habana was able to get his second try. Unfortunately Fremantle ran out winners 28-8.
In the second game we lifted our heads up and went into battle with the Bull Sharks, who earlier defeated Fremantle White.
Before we went out, coach Josh challenged the White Pointers to support their teammates and get ready for the offload.
Straight off the kickoff we strung 4 offloads together before an intercept from the Hammerheads lead to their first try.
Not to be undone by that, our player of the day Max, produced the play of the day with a offload to Rocky as he was falling over leading to a four pointer. Additional tries to Habana, Bruce and first gamer Tyler were not enough as the Hammerheads took it out 20-16.

The last few months have been amazing as then Sharks U8’s Blue team have not only bonded but have started to build friendships.
We have a team of 8 – half of our team have played rugby for the past 1-4 years and the other half are newbies who have come a long way in a short time.
Our kids all love their NRL and play with passion, courage and great enthusiasm.
We are only in Round 3 but our players have embraced teamwork and give it their all in every training session and play each game with 110 per cent.
We look forward to the rest of the season with Chase, Eric, Rylie, Joshua, Harry, Azalea-Maree, Rydah and Ellay.
There were great wins for both our under-13s and under-14s teams, the former beating off a stiff challenge from Ellenbrook 26-16, and then five players backing up an injury-depleted 14s side, helping them to a memorable 26-24 win over the Roosters. At 12-0 down after eight minutes, the 14s dug deep, got back level at the break and then Hayden Wood’s sideline conversion sealed the points three minutes from time.
And our Girls League Tag team recorded a great 12-10 victory over the Roosters.
