Great to see the Under-7s Blacks learning the club song on the weekend after another good display.
The season for the team started off with the boys being a little unsure and some players not completely confident with tackling.
We also have a few new players in our team who have slotted in so well with the other boys even though some have never played.
Stepping up to 7s where you dont get away with dropping the ball and no second chance rule they are quickly learning how easy the ball can be handed over.
They have been working very hard at training on holding the ball, tackling and keeping their defensive line. They certainly showed that in their games today coming away with 2 wins in their 3 way game.
All the boys played so well with some great leg tackles, big runs and one player having the awareness to get under the ball to stop a try being scored!
Our Player of the day was Boston Wataa Sadaraka.
Great tackles and runs but what was the most impressive thing about his game was his communication geeing up his team mates on the field. At age 7 that is a great quality to have in a team, a leader in the making!
Looking forward to watching the boys grow even more over the season.
