Sickness and injury has forced coach Darren Shaw to shuffle his Sharks’ side for the final regular season, Smarter Than Smoking Premiership game, against South Perth Lions tomorrow, kickoff 3.30pm.
But it will still be strong 17 to take the field with Brandon Wright, Matthew Rangiuia and Ezra Taomia all back in the squad.
Caleb Reedy is sick, Anthony Bowman has a foot injury and Wyliss Timlin is unavailable, adding to longterm injuries Brandon Timlin (Neck), Damien Worth (Thumb) and Steve Widders (Knee).
Winger Connor Hudson will make his 250th club appearance for the Sharks, starting out as junior in 2001.
Hudson becomes one of only three players in the club’s history to play 250 club games at 20 years of age.
Reserve grade have cemented second spot but will be looking to close out the regular season with a win over the Lions before facing Willagee in the semi-finals net week and Val Murphy Third Grade, as minor premiers could face either the Lions again, or Joondalup in the semis.
Our Women’s TAG need a win and hope results go their way to progress.
A busy day of league, which kicks off at 11.30am, will see the club celebrate 30 years of rugby league in Rockingham, so come on down, applaud the efforts of two minor premiers this season, pkys some superb football from every team and enjoy the afternoon, with live music late into the night.
