Rockingham Sharks Rugby League Club are delighted to announce the appointment of a new coaching team for the 2019 season.
The Sharks executive committee has appointed Dave Tito and Pete Worth Jr as joint senior football coaches on a two-year contract.
Both men are Sharks Hall of Fame inductees, both have played in 1st grade grand finals for the club and Dave Tito is a reserve grade premiership winning coach.
Pete Worth is the first Sharks player to break 100 first grade games and clearly Rockingham Sharks is in both men’s blood.
Having inked a two-year deal the club is looking for continued stability as the dawn of a new era beckons.
“We had a tough process to go through and felt we had to be transparent at every stage, but Dave and Pete showed their passion for the club and offered a solid plan both on and off the field that impressed the selection panel,” president Pete Rowe said.
“We had some exception candidates, so they had to prove to us they really wanted the job – they did that very well.
“I would like to thank everyone who applied for what is a fantastic position, and I believe by giving two young men who clearly bleed blue and black the opportunity, we must now all support them in the challenges ahead.
A players beach run and BBQ is planned for the near future (date to be advised) so everyone can get together and hear what Dave and Pete’s plans are.
We wish them the best of luck.
